Friday, Nov 2nd is an early dismissal day and a $ 1.00 Tag Day to benefit Where Angels Play Foundation in remembrance of Caitlin Nelson, a parishioner from St. Helen’s who died at age 20. Please see the attached for more information about the Where Angels Play Foundation.

Enjoy freshly made donuts by Dreyer’s Farms and fresh-pressed apple cider after school on the front lawn on Friday, November 2nd at 12:30PM (early dismissal day). The sale is hosted by the fifth-grade classes to benefit the Holy Trinity Food Pantry. All items will be $1 each. IF it is raining, the sale will take place in the gym lobby.

Want to design the 2018-2019  yearbook cover? The Yearbook Naming Contest ends Nov 13.  

All student entries are due to Mrs. Gribbin by 11/13/18. Entries must be designed on 8 ½ x 11 inch paper and include the following: ”Peace” as the theme, a colored picture, object, or design,  the school’s name and year, (Holy Trinity School, 2018-2019), and the student’s name and grade on back. The Westfield Municipal Alliance and Westfield High School DREAM Team have announced the 6th Annual Palooza contests in celebration of Red Ribbon Week .  The aim of Red Ribbon Week is to highlight drug prevention education & advocacy.

The Theme of this year’s contest is: Westfield, We have Better Things to do; Healthy Choices, Everyday Choices

At the Westfield Public Schools, the Art Palooza contest is for grades 1-5, the Poetry Palooza contest is for grades 6-8, (and the PSA Palooza contest is for grades 9-12.)  The deadline is November 20th.

In past years, Holy Trinity School has participated in the Palooza contest and many Holy Trinity students are past finalists.



WANTED: Parents to help organize and plan for the Children’s Retreat to be held for K-4 students during Catholic Schools Week.

SKILLS NEEDED: A desire to help bring God’s love closer to the children.  Organizational abilities and experience running activities with children a plus. Sainthood not required 🙂

Sports Physicals:  Basketball season is upon us at Holy Trinity!

If your child in Grades 6 – 8 is registered to participate in HTS Basketball they must have a valid sports physical on file in the nurse’s office.  This is a NJ State requirement.  Students cannot participate in practices or games if this requirement is not met.


Attention Pre-K Parents:  The State of NJ requires an annual flu shot for all Pre-K students up to age 59 months.  Students must receive the flu vaccine by 12/31/18 in order to continue attending HTS in January 2019.  Students who do not meet this requirement will be excluded from school until the flu shot is given.

Four AFTER SCHOOL / ENRICHMENT programs are being offered at the Mountainside Campus starting on Thursday, Nov 1st. Please see the attached for more information and a registration form.



Want to be a part of the bells choir at Holy Trinity Church? The popular kids group known as the “Holy Ringers” is looking for a few more bell ringers. Open to anyone, grades 5-12. Minimal music experience necessary, if you can count and ring a bell you can be a Holy Ringer. Practices are a half hour long at Holy Trinity Church at 11:30am every Sunday.  The Holy Ringers usually play at a mass once a month and on Holidays.
